I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts as I reflect on Mr. Deacon and the legacy he left behind. Although I didn't know him well, my parents, Bill and Meta Chisholm always spoke of both him and Mrs. Deacon with fondness. Reading about him again, and seeing his photo, truly brings a smile to my face. What a wonderful tribute to a man who clearly touched so many lives. I hope Mrs. Deacon and the family are doing as well as possible during this holiday season. I know it's not the same without him, but hopefully there is comfort in the memories that were shared .. and he will always live on in your hearts. I miss my father everyday, twice a day, so I understand the bittersweetness of holidays without someone we love. I wish the family peace, love, and moments of joy when remembering how blessed you were to have him in your lives for as long as you did. ~ with warm regards, Katharine Chisholm Almy
