Duane JUHASZ

JUHASZ Duane Duane Juhasz, 61, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo on October 1, 1948, to Jon and Esmer Juhasz. Duane graduated from Waite High School in 1966. While in high school he played in a 3 piece band which he enjoyed watching the people dance and appreciate the music. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. After his tour of Duty he traveled to Europe then to Colorado where he met his future wife, Donna. They married in 1975 and moved back to Toledo. He was in a neighborhood Hungarian band where he was proud of the Hungarian music he played. Duane worked various jobs including Sullivan Steel, Schiendler Elevator and retiring from the Painters Union Local #7. He enjoyed the occasional trips to Detroit to gamble, traveling, camping, playing piano, gardening, watching Ohio State Football games and playing cards with friends. He is survived by his wife, Donna of 35 years; sister, Anita; brother, Jeffrey and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
