Stratton Ronald Obituary

Ronald Franklin "Ronnie" Stratton Ronald Franklin "Ronnie" Stratton, 65, of Palmyra, died on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on February 28, 1948, in Waynesboro, a son of Ann Sellers Stratton of Charlottesville, and the late Frank Stratton. Ronnie served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He worked at Coiner's Scrap Metal and Cycle Systems in Charlottesville. He was a member of Lake Christian Church and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Marsha Ann (Walton) Stratton; five children, Ronald "Chip" Stratton Jr. and wife, Robin, Christie Henderson and husband, Robert, Amy Stratton, Reuben Christensen and wife, Samantha, and Nora Stratton; 11 grandchildren, Zack, Jacob, Matthew, Jamie, Amber, Braydon, Reuben Jr., Alyssa, Isaiah, Sabrina, and Alberto Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Shyann; a brother, Richard "Red Bird" Stratton; and a sister, Becky Anderson. A Time of Remembrance will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013, at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Fluvanna County SPCA, 5239 Union Mills Rd., Troy, VA 22974. Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
