Tamara "Tammy" Faye Wilkins, 61, of Fishersville, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at her residence. Born on December 23, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence David and Mary Alma (Monroe) Wilkins.
Tammy retired from the University of Virginia School of Academics and attended Linden Heights Baptist Church in Staunton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael Wilkins and wife, Shirley, and Clarence Wilkins and wife, Shirley; nephew, David F. Wilkins; and niece, Julie Suggs.
Survivors include a nephew, Tony Wilkins; niece, Penny Sager; great nephews, Andrew Wilkins, David Wilkins, and Austin Suggs; and great nieces, Dana Cash and Karlye Sager.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastors John Hamric and Luke Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be J.D. Carroll, Dustin Henderson, Tim Morris, Tony Wilkins, Tommy Weade, Buck Brown and Parker Staples. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service.
Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street, Waynesboro.
