Bruce Biddison Obituary

BRUCE NORBERT BIDDISON AGE: 70 FORMERLY OF WHIPPANY Mr. Bruce Biddison, 70, Retired Assistant Principal, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Whippany, passed away at his Pennsylvania home in Towanda surrounded by loved ones on July 29, 2009. He is remembered by family and friends as a loving father and the most loyal of friends. Bruce was born in 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, the only son of Norbert and Julia Biddison. He graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1961 with a degree in secondary education. Bruce was in education for 36 years. He taught elementary school, health, physical education and driver education at North Ridgeville High in Ohio. He also coached JV basketball and was athletic director. In 1969, he received a Master's Degree in education from the University of Akron. He was assistant principal for three years then became a principal in Newcomerstown, Ohio. Bruce was married to Diane Drake in 1962. They had three children, Scott, Wendy and Dawn. In 1972, he moved to Florham Park, NJ, and worked as Assistant Principal at Parsippany High School for twenty-seven years. He retired in 1999. In 1987, Bruce married Daryl Tait and lived in Whippany. Bruce and Daryl moved to Florida in 2002 and spent the summer and fall in Towanda, PA, on 58 acres. They spent many wonderful years together until her passing in 2007. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, caring for his property, bird watching, hunting and golfing. He is survived by his son, Scott, by his daughters Dawn and Wendy and her husband Sean VanHorn; by his stepson Alex, his wife Michelle, grandsons, Brian and Branden; and by his stepdaughter Wendy, her fiancé Chris Richards and their daughter Caitlin. Funeral Services will be held at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham, on Tuesday August 4th at 11am with visitation from 9 to 11am. The cremation is private. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Mr. Biddison was a great Asst Principle. I know that my step father (Steve McCarthy)always enjoyed his time as well did I. We will miss him dearly.

We shared many a trip and holiday with Bruce and Daryl and their offspring. Both wonderful people. How nice they are now together again, sooner than they would have expected

Mr B ( as I called him) Was the Best asst.Principle ever!!! He always had a Friendly smile and Wave in the Hallway and his Door was always open for advice or just to talk!He Definatley had school spirit as I saw him at our games frequently! Im sad to hear this news but happy to have had the opportunity to know him. He will always be remembered in my heart!!! Mr B. may you rest in peace....GO REDSKINS!!!
