Carol Gribble Obituary

CAROL LYN GRIBBLE MADISON Carol Lyn Gribble, 1955-2010, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 while vacationing with her family in the upper Midwest. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Carol lived in Valley Stream, New York; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City; and Chester, New Jersey before moving to Madison six years ago. Carol earned her Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Economics from Hofstra University in New York. Carol worked at St. Vincent's Home of the City of Brooklyn for the Care of Poor and Friendless Boys (now St. Vincent's Services), Universal Sports Corporation, and then as a research supervisor in the national library at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in New York. But her true calling was as in her home, where she was a devoted wife and mother. She also was a member of the Kings Road School PTO, and a Class Mom. Carol is survived by her husband, John, and their son, Michael. She is also survived by her mother, Marie Panariello; her brother, Robert Panariello; her nieces and nephews: Lauren and Sara Panariello; Jake, Zaynab, Matt and Joey Gribble; Matt and Jessie Hellman; and many other relatives and loved ones. She was predeceased by her father, Mario Panariello. A Funeral Mass for Carol will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 2:30 pm at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham. Interment will be private. Visitation on Saturday, prior to the Mass, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol can be made to the charity of one's choice.

John and Michael - Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear about Carol's passing. Carol was an absolutely wonderful human being. She lit up the room and we are better people having known her. We pray for you guys and wish there was something we could do for you.
