Catherine (Pat) Beston Doran

Catherine (Pat) Beston Doran, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Summit, NJ, she lived in Morristown for 28 years before moving to the Fairchild section of Morris Township in 1956 and then to Convent Station in 2002. Pat was most recently a parishioner of Assumption Church (where she was married in 1949) and previously a member of St. Virgil's Parish for 46 years. After graduating from Bayley High School in 1945, she worked at All Souls Hospital until 1950 as a Record Room Clerk and was employed by Silver Burdett Textbook Publishers for 23 years, retiring in 1990 as an Executive Secretary. As a member of the Saint Virgil Church Pastoral Care Unit, Pat volunteered at Morris View Health Care Center. She was also a member of the Morris Township Senior Citizen Club, Morris Center YMCA, St. Margaret's Social Club and VFW Post #3401 Ladies Auxiliary.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Patricia Wong and her husband, Sam, of Belmont, MA; Kathleen Bellias and her husband, James, of Morris Plains, NJ; and her son, Robert, Jr. and his wife, Patrice, of Byram Twp., NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren - Mark Bellias and his wife, Courtney, of Lafayette, CA; Laura (Bellias) Yurek and her husband, Matthew, of Morris Plains, NJ; Jeffrey Bellias and his wife, Norma, of Morris Plains, NJ; Patrick Doran and Sean Doran of Byram Twp., NJ. Pat also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren: Benjamin, Anna Grace Catherine and Nicholas Yurek of Morris Plains, NJ and Griffin, Shepard and Malcolm Bellias of Lafayette, CA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert T. Doran, Sr., in 2014 and by her sister, Alice Beston Leyhan in 1995.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Doyle Funeral Home, Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Church, Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10am. Entombment is at Holy Rood Cemetery immediately following the funeral mass.
