Colleen DeFranco Obituary
AGE: 48 • Rockaway
Colleen DeFranco, 48, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 with her family and friends by her side. Raised in Parsippany; Colleen has lived in Rockaway for over 20 years. She graduated from Parsippany Hills HS, and later graduated from the University of Bridgeport. She married Anthony DeFranco in 1991 after the couple met on a blind date. She worked as a dental hygienist for many years. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, yard and home, but above all she loved spending time with her family.
She leaves happy memories to her husband, Anthony of 22 years; her greatest joy, her son, Kyle; her parents, Thomas E. and Peggy Bohsen; brother, Thomas M. Bohsen; and many more loving relatives. Colleen's friends have been a constant source of strength, support, joy and love. Her family expresses their deepest appreciation. Colleen's smile and spirit will be missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's RC Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Penn Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, NY 10122. To light a candle, please go to www.normandean.com
