Parsippany - Dennis Ackerman of Parsippany, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018. He died from a heart attack at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville. Dennis was 62 years old and has been living with his wife Susan Ackerman in Parsippany for 33 years. He was born in Denville, ironically at Saint Clare's Hospital on October 21, 1955. Dennis was the only son of Lawrence & Betty Ackerman. He grew up in Denville and graduated from Morris Knolls High School. Dennis married his wife Susan on November 2, 1985. They were married for 32 years. He was a Grocery Manager at Shop Rite in Bernardsville and had been an employee there for over 45 years. Dennis was an avid fisherman and belonged to the Schuyler Fishing Club out of Kearney. He was also a long time member of the Parsippany Elks. He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Betty, and his daughter Katie. Dennis is survived by his wife Susan and his daughter Erin Ackerman along with many loving cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Par-Troy Funeral Home. 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
