Elinor Booth Rizzio passed away peacefully in her Ft. Myers, FL home at age 90, on February 3. Born and raised in Caldwell, NJ an only child, she was known to all as Elinor Rae, then later Elly. As a child, her idyllic summers were spent on the Jersey shore. An abiding love for the sun, beach and a good book would last a lifetime, be it reading on the beach in Mountain Lakes, NJ, her hometown of 40 years, or Ft. Myers Beach in the winter. A natural beauty with a quiet grace, Elly turned heads when she entered the room. But it was her quick wit and dry humor that left its mark on all who knew her. Her children can attribute an appreciation for jazz vocalists and Broadway to their mother; Elly spent three decades going into NYC to catch the latest Broadway show.

Elly is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ernest, a son, Laurence and a grandson, Daniel. She leaves behind three daughters, Lynda, Judith (Jim Dixon), Lisa (Phil Host), and a son, Ernest V. Jr. She was a grandmother to Aaron, Justin, Joe, Tom, Margaret and Julian, and a great grandmother to Danielle, Edwin and Bowen.
