Franklin Folger Obituary
AGE: 70 •
Franklin N. "Nick" Folger, 70, died on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the VA Hospital in East Orange. Nick was born on July 8, 1946 in New York City, NY. He graduated from Morristown High School and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, as a Machinist's Mate, First Class. He graduated from NJIT with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1985 and was able to retire from Greystone State Hospital in July of 2007 after 15 years there as Coordinator of Plant Services.
He is survived by his daughter Tracy F. Boss, her husband John D. and their two sons, John C. and Nick of Rockaway Township; his daughter Kim E. Folger of Budd Lake; his daughter Kristin, her husband Joseph Bergen and their two children Sam and Emily of Randolph; his sister, Grace E. Folger of Nazareth, PA; and several cousins, nieces and nephews, a grandniece and two grandnephews. Nick is predeceased by wife Pamela I. (nee DeMayo) who passed in 2006. He is also predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth A. (nee Nichols) and Franklin G. Folger, as well as by his brother, Thomas E. Folger.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the United Methodist Church at Newfoundland, 65 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ, 07435. My twin sister and I fondly remember Pam and Nick's first date! We peeked from the top of the stairs to get a glimpse of the "mysterious sailor". How handsome he was! Nick and Pam shared a full and happy life together, blessed with children, family, and close friends. My prayer is that they are united again in perpetual bliss.

Nick was like a second Father to me, (and as a teen, I was a real handful). I will always be greatful for all the good times we had together, the many things that he taught me, and did for our families over the years. God Bless you Nick, & may you R.I.P. :-(
