Remembering my Uncle George Berg. With his son, my cousin Scott we were often on adventures with Uncle George while the younger kids stayed home. We spent hours shopping, pro soccer games, horse tracks, and youth sports fields. I have so many fond memories with George. Like blasting around in his MG with Scott and I taking turns getting stuffed behind the seats, all the while Billy Joel blaring. Oh and there is the day he killed the rabbit, but I'll share that in person. George took us all on the winter sliding trips most other adults wouldn't dare. Crabbing, fishing, snowmobiling and especially lots and lots of camping. I'm so glad that he and Aunt Francie camped together with us on Lake Champlain this past August, it was a magical trip! Thanks for all the gifts, the second hand cigar smoke, for being interested in my life and career, for always being an original character with a great big smile and a passion for good living. Thanks for loving my God mother Aunt Francie.
You guys yelled, but you hugged and laughed too. I'll miss you uncle George. May all your shopping in heaven be full of good deals and all of your horses win the race! Love nephew Danny Budd
