AGE: 92 DENVILLE
Helen (Wyckoff) Michel died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Franciscan Oaks Health Center, Denville following a brief illness. She was 92. Born in Millburn, she lived in Parsippany for 59 years before moving to Denville two years ago. Mrs. Michel was an accounting clerk at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover for a number of years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of Church of the Savior, Denville and was a 50-year member and Past-Matron (1956-1957) of Hope Chapter #78 Order of the Eastern Star, Boonton. An avid golfer, Helen played every week into her early 90's. She was a member of the Picatinny Golf Club and the Mount Tabor Country Club.
Her husband, Alvin E., died in 1978. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara H. Burrell and her husband Gray of Boonton; a granddaughter, Cathy Cornine and her husband David of Kinnelon and two cherished great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Kendall Cornine.
Order of the Eastern Star services will be conducted on Saturday, April 24th beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Zeris Inn, 372 Route 46 East, Denville. Memorial services will be held immediately following at 11:30 A.M. at the same location. The interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to either Morristown-Beard School, 70 Whippany Rd., Morristown, NJ 07950 or Franciscan Oaks Health Center, 21 Pocono Rd., Denville, NJ 07834. Envelopes will be available at the service. Arrangements are by Mackey Funeral Home, 107 Essex Ave., Boonton.
