Jeanette Barnish Obituary

Jeanette Ellen Barnish

Denville - Jeanette Ellen Barnish, 68, died peacefully on June 6, 2018 surrounded by her family in her hometown, Denville, New Jersey.

Jeanette is survived by her brother Paul J. Barnish and wife, Barbara, Hopatcong, New Jersey, sister Susan B. Banks and husband, Dennis, Denville, and sister, Joan C. Barnish, Southbury, Connecticut. She was a loving and favorite Aunt to her eleven nieces and nephews, Juliette Abadir, Mark Barnish, Jeffrey Barnish, Patrick Banks, Joan Bruseo, Sean Banks, Allison Banks, Kristin Banks, Joseph Melillo, Alexandra Melillo and Olivia Brush. She loved her sixteen great nieces and nephews; Ryne, Lucy, Annie, Justin, Grace, Claire, Brooke, Maxine, Benjamin, George, Abagail, Patrick, Chloe, Christian, Liam and Devan. Jeanette leaves behind her beloved Yorkie, Penny Ann.

During her lifetime she worked for 25 years at Direct Mail Services, Dover, New Jersey and after retirement, worked for 10 years at Faith and Begorra, Denville. Jeanette loved her 25 years of Volunteering at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville and was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Denville where she was a member of the choir.

Jeanette was a movie buff, evident by her many DVDs and knowledge of movies. She had Season Tickets to Papermill Playhouse, a trip she enjoyed sharing with her sister Joan. Jeanette watched CNN & the Weather Channel, she knew all the news before anyone else and kept all her family informed of pending storms. She spent winters in Florida with her parents, William and Lenore Barnish, often going to Disney World. She loved her birthday because it meant she got to go to her favorite restaurant, Outback Steakhouse. A fun event organised by her nieces and nephews that grew to over 30 family members. Jeanette taught us love and patience, she faced all challenges head on with great dignity and grace. We can all learn from her fine example.

At the request of the family, services will be private under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
