Joseph Carducci Obituary

Joseph Ronald Carducci

Joseph Ronald Carducci passed away December 22, 2020. Dr. Carducci was born in Astoria, Long Island, New York on July 21, 1936 to Arnadio and Priscilla Carducci. He obtained a BA in Journalism and English Literature from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1958. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada shortly after and worked as a full-time professional drummer until 1986. He obtained a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1975 and enjoyed a dual career as a musician and psychologist in the city. He moved to Colorado in 1986 and continued his clinical work in private practice. Dr. Carducci was a licensed psychologist, an author, a governor appointed member of the Colorado Board of Professional Examiners, and a mental health provider for the NFL/Denver Broncos. He was a devoted family man, avid reader, cook, fisherman and sports fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Felicia Walsh-Carducci; his daughters, Jill (Gary LeFrancois) Carducci, Shannon (Ricky) Rodriguez, Jenna Carducci and Carolyn Germand; two siblings, Gene Carducci and Patricia Menden; eleven grandchildren, Lars Gulbrandsen, Cole and Parker Rodrigues, Avery Shultz, Andre LeFrancois, Chris Long, Davis Long, and Johanna, Abby and Sydney Walsh; and 1 great grandson, Teddy.
