Joseph Anthony Verdi

AGE: 83 • Levittown

Joseph Anthony Verdi of Levittown, PA formerly of Stanhope, NJ passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday June 13th at the age of 83. Joseph was born to Philomena (Esposito) and Augustine Verdi on July 28, 1933 in Netcong, NJ.

Joseph enlisted in the US Army from 1953-1955 and served with the 1924 22nd EOD SQD in the Korean conflict. He retired from Picatinny Arsenal in June 1997. He was also well known for "Brother Joe's Dog House," his hot dog truck.

Joe is survived by his beloved longtime partner, Kathleen Smith, loving children Michele Rachel and her husband Harry, Pamela Verdi, and Michael Verdi, and his cherished grandchildren Glenn, Harry, Samantha, Joseph, Andrew, and Anthony. He is also survived by Kathleen's children August, Joseph, and Deborah, Kathleen's grandchildren Frankie, Maria, Alysha, Gabriella, and Mali, and his siblings Chester (Marion), Antoinette "Sis" Bozzo, and Albert (Carol).

Family and friends are invited to Joe's funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ 07857 on Saturday, July 29 at 10:00am.
