Mr. Pfeil was more than just a classroom teacher. He invited the entire 5th grade class to his wedding. When he returned to class he told me to remember you don't actually "throw" rice at the bride and groom but toss it gently high above them. Sorry about that Mr. Pfeil. Thank you for being such a wonderful role model and good friend all these years. Rest in Peace and God Bless. My sincere condolences to the Pfeil family.

I was in 5th grade when this handsome young teacher came to the Borough School. I was a member of his first class. He would always tells us to let the 4th graders know that next year "the hammer will fall"; funny how I remember that so long ago. He got to know my children years later when he drove the bus for Morris Plains. I would see him and Barbara around town and they always said hello and asked about my son and daughter. My sympathy is with you Barbara. Rest in peace Ken, your legacy continues with every student whose life you have touched.

Mr. Pfeil was a marvelous teacher. He was my 7th grade teacher. He made a rough transition from another school better; he always made me feel safe in class. Funny, kind and sometimes gruff, he always listened to us.

I have so many fond memories. Thank you, Mr.Pfeil for allowing your students the luxury of being ourselves and understanding us the way you always did.

Mr. Pfeil was my Geography teacher at Borough School in the mid-60's. He ruled the class with an iron hand and put the fear of God in us and we were better for it. In later years I would run into Barbara and him in grocery store and we would have nice conversations and laugh about all his students and what they were doing today. All that gruff and growl as a teacher was just a front because he was such a nice guy after all. Goodbye Mr. Pfeil and rest in peace.

He was the one math teacher that allayed my Mother's fears that I would never learn math. Don't worry he told her, she understands it, just a few days after the test. Thank you dear Sir, for letting me understand it in my own time.
