Michael Murphy Obituary
Long Valley - Michael Joseph Murphy, 59, of Long Valley, NJ passed away March 13th, 2018 following a long, hard battle with Multiple Myeloma. Michael was born on May 20, 1958 in Morristown, NJ and lived in Chester, NJ for 25 years before moving to Long Valley, NJ. He was a graduate of Rider University and worked as VP of Sales for MMTC in Flanders, NJ. Michael was a charismatic and kind person who will be missed by his family and friends.
Michael leaves behind his loving partner, Mary Ellen Anderson; two children, Karen Murphy, and A.J. Murphy; his mother, Anne Murphy; five siblings, Patrick Murphy (Charlotte), Brian Murphy (Mary), Mary Froehner (Emile), Eileen Fong (Milton), and Daniel Murphy (Stacey); uncle, Michael Connolly; and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Eugene Murphy.
Michael's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday March 18th from 1PM - 5PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090 15 Furnace Rd. (corner of rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday March 19th at 11AM at the St. Lawrence RC Church in Chester. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
