Robert Scheibling Obituary
AGE: 57 • Long Valley
Robert G. Scheibling of Long Valley, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Robert was born on February 22, 1955 in Yonkers, NY. He grew up in New City, NY and has lived in Long Valley for the past 24 years. He was known for his friendly and outgoing personality.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Colleen (Hammond) Scheibling; 3 daughters Erin, Cara, and Jenna; 4 siblings Richard Scheibling and wife Andrea, Douglas Scheibling and wife Barbara, Laura Garvey and husband John, and Edward Scheibling; his mother-in-law Catherine Hammond; and 8 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Alice Scheibling and by his father-in-law Harry J. Hammond.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 4-8 pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 27, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Mountain R C Church in Long Valley. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Mountain Cemetery, Long Valley, NJ. Flowers are welcomed and memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183. We are heart sick about the passing of Bob, a wonderful friend and neighbor. He always had time to stop and chat while he walked his dog, Brandy. He will be remembered for his devotion and love for Colleen and his 3 beautiful daughters. His family truly was the light of his life. He will be dearly missed.
