John J. Scheibling

John J. Scheibling of Grand Ledge passed away September 3, 2023. John was born April 20, 1934 in Custer Park, Illinois to the late John G. and Irene A. (Schaal) Scheibling. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and also in the Michigan Army National Gurad for ten years. He retired from Fisher-Body as a Quality Control Inspector. John was a Past Commander of the Cole-Briggs Post 48 and also served in the Memorial Honor Guard. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling and golf.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Shari (Henry); sons, Kurt (Debbie) Scheibling of Savannah, Georgia and Kris Scheibling of Parker, CO; granddaughter, Megan (Nick Vasile) Scheibling; and sister, Gertrude Moody of San Antonio. John was preceded in death by sisters, Carol Austin, Dorothy Sparks, Shirley Lecount and nephew, Mark Mitchell.
