Salvatore Caruso Obituary
Morristown
Salvatore Rosario "Louie" Caruso, of Morristown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Morris View Healthcare Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rosario and Felipe Caruso, he was raised in Coney Island. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Once he returned home, he met his soulmate, Beatrice Carrano. They married in 1946 and began their family. Salvatore was a courageous man that accomplished many things in order to support his family. He was a very dedicated and hard worker, working for 55 years as a Self Employed Plumber all over NY, NJ, and FL. He cared deeply about the good of humanity and was very politically and socially conscious. He has left us with a legacy of love, commitment, and persistence that will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Beatrice, his adored children, Phyllis Waldorf and William J. Caruso, and his brother Michael Caruso, he is survived by his loving son, Salvatore F. Caruso; his caring son-in-law, Philip Waldorf; his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer (Kenan) Erdogan, Jocelyn (Steven) Porcaro, and Rebecca (Lorenzo) Williams; his treasured great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mia, Charlotte, Hazel, Eleanor, and Beatrice; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 18th from 11 - 1 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. Funeral Service will begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Memorial Donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association of NJ by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
