Yolanda M. Smarrito, formerly of Yonkers, died on August 26, 2012 at the Merry Heart of Boonton NH in Boonton, where she was a resident for several years. Yolanda was 96 years old. Born to Joseph and Josephine Genovese Rossitto.
Beloved wife of John who predeceased her in 2004. Loving mother of Linda (James) Reeck and Frederick J. and his dear friend Maria Colon. Sister of the late Charles and Fortunata Rossitto and Caroline Nobile. Adored grandmother of Justin, Andrew and Lisa. Mrs. Smarrito worked for Ritz's Dress Co. and was a member of the ILGWU for many years. She was a former member of Lady's Auxiliary VFW Post 596 in Mt. Vernon.
Reposing FLOWER FUNERAL HOME INC., 714 Yonkers Ave., with visitation Tues. & Weds. 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass Thursday at 11 a.m. Church of St. John the Baptist. Interment Calvary. www.FlowerFH.com
