Mary Rutledge Obituary
Mary Anne Thayer Freitag Rutledge, of Sumner, WA went to be with the Lord December 11, 2021. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert "Bob" Rutledge. She is survived by her children Schatzie Harvey of Ellensburg, WA and Mark Freitag of Charleston, SC; stepchildren Terri Nordyke, David Rutledge, Susan Rutledge, and Ann Triplett; brothers Gary Thayer, Ray Thayer, Pat Thayer; sisters Linda Henderson and Marie Thayer-Graham.
Her legacy includes her grandchildren: Skyler Harvey, Madalyn Freitag, Bradley Freitag, Brent Freitag; her great granddaughters Karisma Scott, Kaliah Scott, and Kalani Harvey; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren from the Rutledge clan.
Mary loved her family dearly and liked nothing more than having her family close. She had so much love to give and we all benefited from her love and warmth. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed working in her yard and taking her dog for walks.
Mary was retired from Cascade Eye & Skin. She was a devout Christian and attended St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sumner, WA.
Mary will be sadly missed by family, friends and her beloved dog Tukker.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Gretchen Weller Foundation or St. Andrews Church in Sumner or Ellensburg.
A memorial service is planned for after the holidays on January 21, 2022 at noon in Sumner, WA at St. Andrews Church.

Mary was a lovely lady. I had the privilege of working with her at Cascade. She had a great sense of humor, and was easy to laugh. She always greeted me with a smile and a hug. My sincere condolences to her family.
