Ella Hughes Obituary

HUGHES, ELLA MARIE, 70 of Lenox, Michigan died August 20, 2014. She was born October 17, 1943 to the late Allen and Mary Melick. Marie was an accomplished fitness instructor and worked for several gyms in Shelby and Richmond. Marie had a passion for horses and was the Michigan Lightweight State Champion Endurance Racer from 1981 thru 1983. However, it was her vocation as a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife for which she will be most remembered. She is survived by her husband Frank Hughes Jr.; daughters, Ramona (Fred) Kethe, Cindy (Tony) Michaels, Melissa Hughes and son, Frank (Ruth) Hughes III; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and seven siblings. She was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Marie Hughes and siblings John and Lucinda Melick. A 5K run/walk and memorial service will be held on October 18, 2014.
