GILBERT YBARRA Obituary
GILBERT J.
Age 75, of Royal Oak, died November 1, 2013. Born August 25, 1938. Loving husband to the late Rita. Dear father to DeAnna and Gilbert I. (Debra). Proud grandfather to Gilbert, Grant and Gabrielle. Dear brother to Lucy Klotz. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Ybarra was born in Detroit, attended St. Josaphat Catholic School and served in the United States Army and National Guard. He married Rita Witek in 1963. They are together forever in paradise. Mr. Ybarra retired in 1996 after driving a truck for 36 years. He was a proud Teamster member. Gilbert had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to be with his grandchildren. He has left an empty space in all our hearts. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. with an evening prayer service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. (4 blocks E of Woodward),Royal Oak. Instate Monday 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Hazel Park. Memorials to the Michigan Humane Society are appreciated. Share your memories at
