Harold Dodds Obituary

Dodds, Harold D.; age 96; of Oxford; February 2, 1918; June 19, 2014. Preceded in death by Hattie, his loving wife of 43 years; five brothers; and one sister. Survived by his son, Jerry and special helper Gail; and grand daughter Kim (Jim) Schywstell of Pennsylvania. Harold was an Oxford Police Officer from 1949-1954 and retired from Oxford School System as custodian after 16 years. He was also a veteran of the Navy, a volunteer fireman for the Oxford Fire Department for 41 years, and a lifetime member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge. He will be sadly missed by family, many friends and neighbors. Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, MI 48371, Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Service will be officiating. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will take place at the funeral home Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the K-9 Stray Rescue League, 2120 Metamora Rd, Oxford, MI 48371.
