Larry Sophiea was a great part of the St. George community that I knew, growing up and raising my own children. He was a tireless worker for the Church. We offer our condolences to his family. May his memory be eternal.

Thinking of Larry and all of the wonderful memories of working with him at the Silverdome for 23 years, I can't help but smile, but my heart breaks with the realization that he is gone. Such a good, kind man. Never afraid to show love and affection to family and friends. He will be missed.

I have many great memories of Uncle Larry, and feel sad at our loss! He was always interested in what I was doing in my life, made great suggestions for my career, was significant in some of my college decisions; and most importantly, he was unconditionally loving and caring!I appreciate all the wisdom and guidance Uncle Larry gave to me, and pray that he is resting in peace! Uncle Larry is the end of a generation of Sophiea's, who were all special in their own ways, & who are very much in our hearts. Uncle Larry will be missed; and Orthodox Easter will never be the same! My sympathies to Gary, Michael, Mori, Marianne & all the grandchildren,& great grandchildren. Uncle Larry is forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten!!

On to the next adventure, Larry. God bless you for the beautiful life you shared with so many. Joy, love and family and God were always your creed. Now you and Leo Buscaglia can see each other again! Save a seat for me!
