Caroline Malbrough Obituary
SUNSET - Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Caroline Malbrough, age 102, the former Caroline Savoie, who passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at her residence in Cankton.
Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton. The Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Ms. Malbrough was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol. She was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy Malbrough, Jr. and wife, Dianne, of Pearland, TX, Joseph S. Malbrough, Sr. of Bristol; ten grandchildren, John G. Chevis and wife, Jennifer, of Lafayette, Jimmie D. Malbrough, Rickey Malbrough, Wanda M. Faulk and husband, John, all of Bristol, Pamela D. Edwards and husband, Kevin, of Houston, TX, Mona Richard of Eunice, Keith Taylor of Baton Rouge, Joseph Malbrough, Jr., of Bristol, Joseph "Jay" Malbrough, III of Carencro, Kearra Malbrough of Sunset; eleven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Leroy Malbrough, Sr.; her parents, Ernest Savoie and the former Camilla Harmon, both natives of Bristol; one daughter, Carrie Jean Malbrough; five brothers, Ernest Savoie, Jr., Houston Savoie, Ignatius Savoie, John Easton Savoie, Jessie Savoie; and two sisters, Augustine S. Colligan and Mary Rose Thibodeaux.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 7:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Aunt Caro,
You were a special lady with a warm spirit. Even my special child was always at peace in your home. Although I spent time with you, I wish it had been more. I will miss the wise and quirky things you used to say. My family and I will miss you so much. Rest in Peace, Aunt Caro.
