Danielle and Davonia,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. I have wanted to reconnect with you both for some time now but definitely not under these circumstances. Your parents were so kind to me as a young mother, when they were young parents themselves trying to figure the whole parenting thing out. I was so fortunate to have my child in a safe and warm environment in the early years. You girls are so fortunate to have had parents like Daniel and Veronda and although this is another tragic lost for your family, find comfort in knowing they are together now and that you are the extraordinary women you are today because of them. I don't ever remember seeing your Dad without a smile. My prayers are with you. Much love to both of you,

My family and I are very sorry to hear about Mr. Al passing away. I was one of his students at Northwest high and he also taught my father at Lawtell Elementary. I always thought very highly of Mr. Al, he was always smiling and happy that's how I'll remember him. He always gave me good advice I thought of him as a good friend not just my teacher. I had been thinking of him a lot lately I wish I would have spoken with him before he passed. Knowing him was a blessing. Mr. Alsandor was a great man and I know heaven gained a new angel. We will keep you all in our prayers.

I've known Daniel for many years.
We graduated from high school together, we carpooled from Opelousas to Lafayette (USL) during our college days, and we often double-dated after he met Veronda, the woman that eventually became his wife. He loved her very much. The last time I recall speaking with Daniel was the end of last year. He was always upbeat, cared dearly for his sister, and spoke highly of his daughters everytime we had a conversation. He was a very proud father and loved his girls unconditionally. I just can't believe he died suddenly like this. I am still in shock about his passing. Happy to have known you and will remember you in prayer, Daniel.

This man was one of the most wonderful men I knew. I worked at Northwest High School with Mr. Al and he was always smiling , making others smile, telling others " It'll be alright", and was so good with the students. He was such a kind and gentle man to all. I could write a book on how wonderful this man was! The family has my deepest sympathy. REST IN PEACE MR. AL !!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Al, thank you for your service to us, your students at Northwest High. I can't believe that was nine years ago that you were teaching the Class of 2006! I can still see you smiling, nodding your head, and hear you saying, "Alright."

There aren't many teachers I always remember. There aren't many who touched lives like Mr. Al. I moved to Kentucky during my sophomore year and for years when I came to visit, I would go to northwest and see Mr. Al and a few other teachers. He will be missed! Such a great man and a great educator.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Al. I had the pleasure of teaching with Mr. Al for two years at Northwest High School. He was a wonderful, caring coworker as well as a compassionate teacher and role model for the students. Even though ten years have passed since I have seen him, I still remember his smile. I will be praying for you all.
