George Schneider Obituary
George, a self-employed crawfish broker, enjoyed many hobbies including being outside doing yard work, gardening, and woodwork. He also supported the education of his community by donating his woodcrafts to local catholic schools. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, and is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Pat Manuel Schneider of Eunice; two sons, George Schneider, Jr. and wife, Carla of Rustin, and Joey Schneider and wife, Lisa of Eunice; brother, John R. Schneider and wife, Linda of Kenner; two sisters, Clara Smith of Oberlin, and Julia Ann Slade and husband, Danny of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Trae and Joshua Schneider of Rustin, and Matthew Williams of Dallas, TX; and father-in-law, Fenrick Manuel of Opelousas.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, George and Clara Manuel Schneider; daughter, Penny Schneider; mother-in-law, Lena Manuel; and brother-in-laws, Elmo Smith and Randy Manuel.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Sunday evening by Deacon Gary Gaudin and Deacon Chuck Ortego.
