Opelousas - Funeral services for Harold L. Langlois will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will officiate the service. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville, LA.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The funeral home will re-open at 10:00am on Monday, July 26, 2021 for visitation.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Harold L. Langlois, age 85, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

Mr. Harold was a native of Port Barre and for the past 19 years lived in Opelousas, LA. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Following his time in the military, he sold insurance for 21 years. He was also a dedicated member of Knights of Columbus, where he was a fourth degree. Mr. Harold enjoyed camping, traveling, and LSU and the New Orleans Saints football. However, his love for his family superseded all those things. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, David Langlois and wife, Celeste of Madison, MS., Dwayne Langlois of Carencro, LA. and Timothy Langlois of Alexandria, LA.; his daughters, Toni Langlois of Opelousas, LA. and Stacie Clement and husband, Gerald of Youngsville, LA.; brother, Joseph Langlois of Carencro, LA; sister, Martha Lafleur of Sunset, LA.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Fontenot Langlois; parents, Harold and Edna Guillory Langlois; brother, Melvin Langlois; and daughter-in-law, Ruthie Langlois.
