OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Christ Temple Holiness Church (2038 W. Landry St.) in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Joseph Aaron Jr., 57, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.

Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Church cemetery in Lawtell, LA. Rev. Gregory Gardner officiating.

Joseph "J.B." Aaron, Jr. was a self-taught mechanic. He was highly sought after in the Opelousas and surrounding areas for his knowledge of automobiles.

Mr. Aaron is survived by his fiancé Theresa Richard of Lawtell, LA; two sons Joseph Carlton Richard, Sr. (Brandi) of Lawtell, LA and Teddrick Javon Onezine of Crowley, LA; one daughter Courtney Brantasia Richard of Opelousas, LA; one step daughter Bridget Michelle "Woody" Semien of Opelousas, LA; three brothers Patrick Aaron, Sr. (Vicky), Jesse Aaron, Sr. (Lisa) both of Opelousas, LA and John Aaron of Lawtell, LA; three sisters Patricia Richard (Wilson) of Lawtell, LA, Alice Wood (Milton) and Mary Clark (Brian) both of Opelousas, LA; two grandchildren Maryah Calise and Brylon Carter Richard; special cousins with whom he lived Krystle "Krissy" Moore, whom he called "Kristy"; buddy Kemonte Moore and lil helper Paris Charlot; godchildren Alesha Johnson, Joseph Ned and Jesse Aaron, Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Aaron, Sr. and Mary Florence Sam Aaron, one grandson Joseph Richard, Jr., and one brother-in-law Joseph Richard, Sr.

Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 A. M.

I haven't seen Jr. Boy in many years!!! ( probally over 20) but I remember all the good times at "Nanny's" house. He was a lot older than me so we didn't share too much; BUT I do remember him clowning around with us and of course hugging on Theresa:). Jr boy and I go way back to elementary school. There where 6 of us, Patrick M. Henry, Patrick Henry, Carol Roy, Isaac Henry, Joseph Aaron and me William Henry. I haven't sent jr boy since high school. The family have my sympathy.
