Joseph Jolivette Obituary
Grand Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Joseph Antonio "Tony" Jolivette will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Derrick J. Weingartner, S. J. will celebrate the Mass.
Life is a short Journey from birth to childhood, to adulthood until death and then eternity. Each individual is endowed with a uniqueness of purpose as he or she is created by the divine Father. Joseph Antonio Jolivette was a blessing sent from God. One of four children to his parents, Joseph Carl Thibodeaux and Marie Antoinette Jolivette, on February 19, 1986, at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point, LA. He departed this life on July 22, 2015, at 3:30 a.m.
His love for people gained him many friends. Antonio's kindness and generosity was felt by others. The gift of love is: A cherished, treasure whose value can not be determined by the separation of soul such treasures will always remain precious in the hearts and mind of his loved ones.
He will be missed by his daughter, Joni Jolivette; father, Joseph Carl Thibodeaux; mother, Marie A. Jolivette; step-mom, Mona Lisa Thibodeaux; sisters, Porscha Jolivette, Carlis Thibodeaux, Lekeshia Lewis (Courtney) Guidry, and Alicia Shaw (Shawn) Malbreaux; brothers, Joseph Carl Jolivette, Christian Jolivette, and Steven Citizen; grandmother, Nola Jolivette; grandfather, Calvin Thibodeaux; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marietta "Sue" Pierre; grandfather, Nathan Jolivette; and cousin, LCpl. Esrom "Izzy" R. Joseph.
The family requests that visitation be held at Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Saturday, July 25, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home.
Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau.
