WHITEVILLE - Mr. Laurent Thomas, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Whiteville, LA, for Mr. Laurent Thomas, Sr. 80, who entered eternal rest, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his residence in Ville Platte, LA.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Whiteville, LA. Rev. Gilton Gallow will officiate at the services.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his fiancé, Margaret Garrison of Ville Platte, LA; four sons, Lawrence LeBlanc of Beggs, LA, Malcom Thomas (Dorothy) of Frilot Cove, LA, Richard Thomas (Lauren) of Corpus Christi, TX and Kevin Thomas (Samantha) of Garland, LA; two daughters, Olga Vallien (Herman) and Lori Edwards (Wayne) both of Beggs, LA; two step-sons, Marcus Garrison of Ville Platte, LA and Darrell Washington, Jr. of Ville Platte, LA; a step-daughter, Chantell Washington of Ville Platte, LA; five sisters, Verlee Rideaux of Baton Rouge, LA, Lula LeBlanc of Lebeau, LA, Brenda Thomas, Hazel Thomas and Annie Thomas all of Chicago, IL; 25 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 Godchildren, Elizabeth Gaines and Bobby Matthew and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Irene LeBlanc Thomas; parents, Kizier Thomas, Sr. & Louise Sally Thomas; a son, Laurent Thomas, Sr.; a brother, Kizier Thomas, Jr.; three sisters, Willie Mae Thomas, Geraldine Thomas and Ivory Lee Thomas.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Whiteville, LA.
