Patrick B. Bourgeois, Jr.

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Patrick B. Bourgeois, Jr., age 60, who passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 5:50 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.

Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Deacon Sammy Deisi, pastor of St. Landry Catholic Church will officiate at the services.

Mr. Bouregois was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas.

Survivors include his wife, Linda R. Bourgeois; three sons, David Chris Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, David Chad Nezat and his wife, Angela, of Baton Rouge, and Jamie Patrick Bourgeois and his wife, Kimberly, of Opelousas; two daughters, Tina Benoit and her husband, Jason, of Leonville and Sierra Lyn Darbonne and her husband, Randall, of Opelousas; two brothers, Christopher Bourgeois and his wife, Christine, and Mark Bourgeois, all of Opelousas; one sister, Sheila Boney and her husband, Karl, of Ville Platte, six grandchildren, Kyle Benoit, Brittany Benoit, Alaina Benoit, Brennan Nezat, Taylor Bourgeois, and Lyla Darbonne; and four god children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Bertrand Bourgeois, Sr. and the former Clara Bell Lalonde; and one brother, Michael Bourgeois.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Bourgeois, David Chad Nezat, Mark Bourgeois, Chris Bourgeois, Karl Boney, Jason Benoit, Brennan Nezat, and David Chris Bourgeois. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Darbonne and Kyle Benoit.
