ALMAGUER, Manuel Manuel Almaguer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, step-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, with his devoted wife Stella by his side. Born on June 21, 1931, in San Saba, Texas, Manuel grew up with the values of hard work, perseverance, and curiosity that shaped the course of his remarkable life. A 1949 graduate of San Saba High School, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. After his military service, Manuel earned a General Business diploma from Nixon-Clay Commercial College in Austin, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1963. For more than five decades, Manuel dedicated himself to the practice of law. He managed his own law firm until his retirement in 2020. He was respected for his integrity, intellect, and commitment to his clients and community. Beyond his legal career, he served as a Director at the Pan American National Bank of Dallas, Roth's Jewelry, Inc., and General Precision Machine Company, Inc. Manuel was active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, serving as President of the Pan-American Golf Association, Trustee of the Mexican American Scholarship Foundation, member of the Mayor's Advisory Council, and National Vice Chairman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly. He also ran for Dallas City Council, embodying his lifelong commitment to service and representation. A man with many interests, Manuel was a licensed pilot who loved to fly his own plane, a skilled golfer who won multiple tournament trophies, and a collector of classic cars. He was also an avid Texas Longhorns fan. His adventurous spirit began early in life as a boy in San Saba. He recalled how the local school bus driver let him steer the empty bus down the country roads to his family's farm. He credited that experience with sparking his lifelong love of flying. Manuel was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolina. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Stella; his two children Monica Nabors and Manuel, Jr.; his four grandchildren, Kieth, Chris, Manny, and Julia; and a loving large and extended family including those with whom he and Stella spent many joyful vacations, holidays and milestone events. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Mansfield Medical Lodge on Miller Road and Three Oaks Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness during Manuel's final year. Their unwavering support and presence brought comfort and peace to both Manuel and his family. A private Mass and service for family and close friends will be held at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmer's Branch, Texas. Manuel will be remembered for his strength of character, boundless energy, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His life was a testament to dedication, service, and joy, and his legacy will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known him.
