Patricia E Riith, 73, of Darien, died at home on the morning of Friday, April 11 after a long illness She was born on Oct 21, 1940 at Stamford Hospital to the late Michael J Gol and Elsie Gol

Mrs Riith graduated from high school in Lancaster, Pa She was employed at Dorr Oliver in Stamford where she met her husband, Robert A Riith They were married at St John RC Church in Darien on Oct 7, 1961

She loved spending time with her family, they said She was very active with her children's activities, including Boy Scouts, Little League and Darien Youth Hockey She was a selfless, caring woman who will be missed by those who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in their hearts, her family said

She is survived by her brothers, John (Sally) and Andrew (Julia), her children, Robert A Jr (Jill); Frances and Michael (Maggie) Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, Michael, Mikaela, Wayman, Jake, Max, Mitch and Elsie In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Mickey

There will not be any calling hours and burial will be private

There will be a memorial Mass on Saturday, April 26 at 11 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford The Riith family had entrusted the funeral arrangement to the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien
