Suzanne D'Arinzo Obituary

Suzanne Elizabeth D'Arinzo
Suzanne Elizabeth D'Arinzo, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2021 surrounded by her family. Suzanne was born on May 3, 1951 in Stamford, Connecticut to her beloved late parents John J. Boccuzzi and Adeline Saracco Boccuzzi. Suzanne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend.
Suzanne attended Rippowam High School, graduating in the class of 1969. It was in the halls of Stamford High School, however, at the age of 14 where she met the future love of her life, Pat. They became friends that day, and in years to come they became forever soul mates, joining their blended families as one.
Suzanne worked as Accounts Payable Manager at Wahlstrom Group for 26 years. Suzanne was a member of Council #41 Knights of Columbus Columbiettes where she shared faith and cherished friendships. Suzanne's home was her heart, and she shared it generously. She adored cooking for family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures. Suzanne was an avid gardener, spending summer days in her home garden and also in the family garden. She loved thrifting and using her artistic abilities to give salvage finds new life. Suzanne adored cats, and supported animal rescues. She volunteered her time at the DCA Thrift Shop in Darien, whose proceeds help to support student scholarships. Suzanne found such happiness in the little things like sharing a coffee and a cinnamon donut at the beach; or going for a ride in the convertible, top down and sun shining, dancing and singing to her favorite Beatles and 60s songs. To Suzanne, her family and friends were everything.
Suzanne is survived by her loving family: husband Pat D'Arinzo, her sisters Barbara Toscano and her husband Jim, Lois Pasquarella and her husband Ralph, her brother John J. (Jack) Boccuzzi, Jr. and her children—both biological and also her own through marriage – Kathryn Yingst and her husband Chris, Amy Ofiero and her partner David, Patty-John D'Arinzo, Toni D'Arinzo, Terri Sanders and her husband Greg, Tina Joy and her husband Marc. Also surviving are Suzanne's 14 cherished grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her beloved nephews and niece and their families. Suzanne is also survived by her aunt, Pat Caldarone and her devoted cousins.
A private interment will be held. Details regarding a celebration of Suzanne's life will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
