Aaron LAKES Obituary
News Death Notice
LAKES, Aaron M. age 24, of Germantown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2014. He was a student at Miami University studying pre-med and kinesiology. He enjoyed weight lifting, hunting, school and was employed at the Oxford Pub. Aaron is survived by his parents Tom and Kelly (Burkholder) Lakes, his daughter Kaylee Ann, paternal grandparents Delmar and Maxine Lakes, maternal grandparents Duane and Shirley Burkholder, his brother Isaacc Lakes, and one sister Libby (T.J.) Smith. Funeral services will be held at Arpp and Root Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., burial at Germantown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Aaron was a student in my class at Miami Hamilton. Last evening, one of Aaron's good friends and a student in my class this semester informed me of his passing. Aaron was a bright, curious and charismatic young person- a real joy to have in class. I am extremely sad to hear of his untimely death and wish my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Tom, Kelly and all of Aaron's loved ones,
We are so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. As parents, we never want to believe that we will outlive our children. But, there are plans for each of our lives that aren't of our design. It is at these times that we must put our trust in God and keep our faith despite our pain.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. May you be surrounded by your precious memories of Aaron, and may God hold each of you in the palms of His loving hands.

Aaron was our neighbor for the past year. He was always friendly, and we spent several afternoons sitting on our porch steps chatting. We feel privileged to have met him, and our sympathies go out to his family.
