News Death Notice
COOK, Alice Rena "Shang" Age 66, born May 25, 1950 in Dayton, passed away July 29, 2016 at Grandview Hospital. Preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Sr. and Sweetalice Jones; brothers, Jimmy Cuffee, Walter Jones; nephew, Keith M. Jones Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband of 46 years, Clifton Cook Sr.; sons, Curtiss I. Cook (Angelica Edwards), Clifton II and Cameron Cook; daughters, Renae Cook, Chatauqua Curtiss (Issac); siblings, Octavia F. Jackson (Edward), Calvin C. Jones Jr. (Sharon), Evelyn Hall (Baron); 22 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all who loved her dearly. Service will be held 11 am Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am. I grew up with my cousins and I love all my cousins. We ran through our neighborhoods and played and protected each other. I loved SHANG and I love SWEETIE and BABYSISTER. Calvin Jr and I are closer in age, and we are close period. I will always remember SHANG, Big Calvin and my favorite aunt SWEET ALICE. This is Skip!
