Allen Walton Obituary


News Death Notice

WALTON JR., Allen M. age 84, of Dayton, departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. He was a graduate of Central State University, a retired Major with the U. S. Army, an employee of Duriron Foundry (Metallurgist) and McLin Funeral Home (Limo Driver), and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He is preceded in death by his mother, Daisy and step-father, Edgar Williams. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Walton; children, Brian K., Brenda Cunningham (Curtis) and Robin Y. Walton-Ogletree (Laurence); grandchildren, Tiffany N. Cunningham, Brianna K. and Tommie C. Walton; great grandchildren, Tristan N. Trammell, Breyah Renea Walton, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services 11:00 A.M., MONDAY, March 5, 2012 at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER, 2431 Germantown St., with Reverend Marjorie McDaniel, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com
