News Death Notice

LEEPER, Andrew Ray 56, left this life as he lived it, with friends and family fully engaged, with humor and good spirits, victim to a thoracic aneurysm. Husband of Paulette (nee Buraczenski) Leeper; father of Sarah (Seth) Lucas and Hannah Leeper; Sunday school teacher, bass and pinch-hit tenor in the church choir, and prostate cancer survivor. Survived by his dear brother, Joseph (Myra) Leeper; sister, Melinda (Mark) Cyrus; sister-in-law, Margaret Leeper; and boon canine companion, Fred; he cherished life and family. Preceding him in death were his parents, Theron Earl Leeper, Sr., Joanne Elizabeth Leeper, and brother, Theron Earl Leeper, II. He was a long-time partner with Kohnen & Patton, where he served as an attorney. He graduated Valedictorian of Wooster High School, Valedictorian of The College of Wooster, and Order of the Coif from The Ohio State School of Law. Andrew loved history, reading, coffee, laughing with his brother, Joe, cookies - snacks of any kind really, Saturday afternoon walks with Gramp, studying and discussing Scripture. Being there for his daughters and spending time with Paulette were the focus of his life. As an Eagle Scout, he gloried in the ultimate application of the Boy Scout Rule of "only take half of what's left." He will be especially missed by his fellow analysts, Natalie and Terry. Family and friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Loveland United Methodist Church, 10975 South Lebanon Rd., Loveland, OH 45140, where services will be held at 12 Noon. I went to law school with Andy at Ohio State and practice law here in Cincinnati. He was one of kindest most gentle man I have ever encountered. God bless his Spirit. I will pray for healing for all those affected by this loss.

I've never seen a man who loved his daughters and wife more. He was so proud of Sarah and her dedication to running, and made JME a special occasion each year with Hannah. His love and admiration for Paulette shone in his eyes. Andy was quick with a hug and a smile, and a ready sense of humor. I loved hearing him sing in the church choir. He will be missed as much aS he is loved.

Paulette, Sarah and Hannah, I am so sorry for your loss, Andy was a wonderful man. Some of my favorite memories are of the early morning soccer games together, everyone would be grumping about what time it was but Andy was wide awake and always making jokes.
