News Death Notice

WILLIAMS, Beverly Kay, Age 61, of Dayton, OH, departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She was born March 25, 1955, to the late Nathaniel & Anna Rose of Terre Haute, IN. "Kay", as she was known, accepted Christ at an early age. She was an active member of St. John MBC. Kay was very outgoing and enjoyed singing, dancing, decorating, games and traveling. Kay is preceded in death by her (4) brothers and (2) sisters. Left to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted husband, Charles F. Williams Sr.; (5) children, Marvin Hatfield Jr. (Charleston, WV), Charles F. Williams Jr. (Dayton, OH), Shamita (Kalan) Smith (Charleston, WV), Tera (William "Woody") Bryant (Chesapeake, VA) and Cha'Bre (Michael) Pitman (Dayton, OH); (1) adopted daughter, Charmaine Catlin (Dayton, OH); (10) grandchildren; (5) siblings; (5) brothers-in-law; (2) sisters-in- law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., MONDAY, April 18, 2016 at GREATER ST. JOHN MBC, 4200 Germantown Pk., with Reverend Lloyd D. Hayes, officiating. Interment: Woodland Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m., SUNDAY, April 17, 2016 at the Church. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On-line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com
