Bobby Harold Dawson, 77 formerly of Dayton, OH died Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his home in Port Clinton, OH under Hospice Care. He was born March 13, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Harold and Verdell (Walker) Dawson. He is preceded in death by his father and his grandson, Devin Charles Martin. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Dawson of Port Clinton, his mother, Verdell Dawson; daughters, Stacia (Kevin) Harris and Amber Dawson; sisters, Barbara Mays and Beverly (Palmer) Boyd; brother, Bruce Dawson and grandson, Daelyn Dawson and 3 great grandchildren, all of Dayton, Ohio and bonus sons, Sitipron and Phitsanu Phonon of Port Clinton, Ohio. He is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.



Bobby graduated from Dunbar High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Central State University. Bobby worked for John Hancock Insurance for many years. A talented salesman, Bobby worked for several car dealerships in the Dayton area before owning the Freedom Ford , Lincoln Mercury Dealership in Wise, Virginia. On August 8, 2008, he married the former Triamjai "Jan" Mitbanyang. Following his retirement, he and Jan moved to the Port Clinton area because he loved fishing and boating.

Bobby was an entrepreneur at heart. He always had his hands in something. If he didn't know about it, he would ask all kinds of questions to figure out why it was the way it was. He was also a member of Summit Christian Church in Dayton.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside Marblehead, OH 43440. Services will begin following visitation at 4:30pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
