“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”

Booker made my mother’s time at Maria Joseph a more pleasant experience. He touched the lives of not only residents but their friends and family. His gift was not only musical but a truly pure heart.

We will forever remember that in our lowest time at my mother’s funeral that Booker set aside his own grief and shared his musical gift with us all.

I met Booker at Maria Joseph, and he always had a smile for anyone who spoke to him. After dinner Booker would often entertain the residents and visitors with his musical talents on the organ. My mother would make request and he would have her rocking in her wheelchair.
My Deepest Sympathy goes to his family and friends. May God Bless you all.

Peace be with Sammy's, family, friends, and associates.

May this poem bring you some comfort and peace.

I'm Gone to Be With Jesus

Don’t spend too much time in mourning
Tears are for the sad.
I left to be with Jesus
And this should make you glad.
Don’t waste your hour in grieving,
No need to feel distress.
I am tired of life’s frustration,
And had to get some rest.
Don’t lose the love I gave you
Feed it with your care.
Grow it with devotions,
Spread it everywhere.
Don’t fret because my leaving
Came in such a way.
We’ll have another meeting
In God’s Eternal Day.
Rest in peace,Sammy.
