Clapp, Bradley Eugene

Bradley Eugene Clapp, of Springboro, OH, formerly of Englewood, OH, was welcomed into his eternal home on January 16, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Margaret E. Clapp and Julius M. Clapp of Dayton, OH and Wetmore, MI respectively. Brad was born on November 20, 1940, and was the only child. A graduate of Dayton's Fairview High School in the class of 1958, Brad attended the University of Dayton and participated in the ROTC program. He was a noted rifleman and clay trapshooter, winning several national championships and awards. He graduated from UD in 1962 with a degree in business administration. He served active duty in the Army at Fort Hood, TX, as a 1st lieutenant, and communications officer for the 1 St Armor Division. Brad was employed in the advertising field with Dancer Fitzgerald and Needham, Harper and Steers for 20 years and transitioned to printing management and sales with AccuColor and finally Progressive Printers to complete a stellar career where he knew no stranger and left a mark everywhere he went. Brad loved the advertising and printing industry and was always energized with meeting new people, solving challenges and meeting deadlines. He married his sweetheart Betsy Clapp, who survives, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage and many adventures and wonderful times together especially family trips to Florida and Colorado, visiting family, friends and the wonderful mountain views! Meeting at a Singles Club at Shiloh Church, their journey of marriage showed the love and commitment of two people that stood the test of time and two boys! Surviving are his two sons: Bruce Clapp, daughter-in-law Charla Clapp, of Springboro, OH, and Brian Clapp, daughter-in-law Keri Clapp, of Villanova, PA. Brad had six grandchildren: Ashley Clapp Beaudion (Josh) of Springboro, Casey Clapp (Rachel) of Springboro, Hailey Joy Clapp of Springboro, Brady Clapp (Lindsay), Noah Clapp of Philadelphia, and Shana Clapp of Villanova. Bringing new joy to Brad were five great children Gabe, Blake, and Luke Beaudion and Raegan and Camden Clapp. Brad was a long-time member of Shiloh United Church of Christ in Dayton, OH. Brad was involved and engaged in volunteering and leading organizations; among them Northmont SAY Soccer, American Field Service (AFS), supporting Betsy in her MUSE Machine endeavors, and was a member of the Dayton Masonic Lodge #743. Brad loved to travel the US and Europe with favorites stops in Colorado, Florida, and England. He enjoyed many wonderful memories of 50-years of adventures with Betsy's sister Cherry and husband Jim. Black Lake holds a special place in the family memories. A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 25th at Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with the service at 11:00 am. Brad has opted to be cremated, and his ashes will be spread at special locations, including the Moore family ranch meadow in Boulder, CO. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Ohio's Hospice (7575 Paragon Rd.
