News Death Notice
HAFER, Brian David Age 33 of Miami Twp. passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. Brian was employed at H R Chally; played Division 1 basketball, loved music & was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife Krystal, daughter Ashley, parents William & Velvet Hafer and sister Laura Hafer. Brian was a beloved son, husband, father & loyal friend who will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 from 2 PM until time of funeral services at 5 PM at Southbrook Christian Church, 9095 Washington Church Rd. Miami Twp. OH, Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home Centerville Chapel in care of arrangements.

Brian was my roommate when I first attended Florida Tech. He was a great friend who was always there to listen. I remember when he first started playing his guitar!! My heart goes out to family!

I was deeply saddened when I heard about Brian. As I read the postings of several of his friends on FaceBook, I realized that he had trusted Jesus Christ with his life. I had the an opportunity to coach Brian at Florida Tech. I cherish all of the great memories. Brian became a dear friend after his playing days. I hold a special place in my heart for Brian and his family. I often think of the first time Brian arrived in Melbourne with his great mother, Velvet. To the Hafer Family,
We are so sorry for your loss and will continue keep all of you in our prayers. Brian was a close childhood friend and I can't think of a time I was picking up a basketball without him around. I'm very blessed for the time I spent with him and glad this year our paths crossed again.
