This week, how can it be 7--or is it 8--years already ?! Whether on the grid iron; on the wrestling mat; at work; or throughout life, "Beaver" never quit nor ever lost...he simply ran out of time. When I remember my perfect teammate, it brings a "Beaver" smile to my face...and to my heart. R.I.P. Thunderbolt..."ALWAYS" loyal & true."
Until we meet again, Bruce... JSLD

I miss him. I cherish all the walks and picnics. He and I loved nature. He especially enjoyed our horses. I'll always love him and the happiness he gave me.

btw: I would be remiss if I didn't also praise Bruce's courage & personal resilence. Several wrestling matches into his junior year, Bruce broke a few of his ribs, an injury that could well keep even the toughest wrestlers out for the remainder of the season. Despite missing several weeks of practice & competition, Bruce not only INCREDIBLY came back, but WON his 138 lb. weight class which was critical in helping our 1966 Northmont team win its first-ever team district wrestling championship.[NHS won it again the following season, but never again since 1967] Personally, daily competing with Bruce helped make me a champion Thunderbolt wrestler.
Talk about the Fightin' Irish, Bruce was all HEART...and GUTS. Beaver, you have our undying gratitude & admiration and my personal thanks...Love ya, brother!

As teenagers we spent a lot of time together on football and baseball teams. I will always remember his good nature and his infectious smile. I suspect he was one of the few who harbored no malice. A rare trait indeed! Our thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.

Throughout 3 Northmont wrestling seasons, "Beaver" & I fought "tooth & nail," but NOT ONCE did we ever exchange a bad word, for we shared a mutual respect. Bruce was THE perfect teammate...whether on the mat or on the gridiron, Bruce NEVER quit. For his team & teammates, Bruce ALWAYS gave EVERYTHING he had. To know Bruce, was to love the guy...Bruce was simply a good human being...always smiling...his smile was divinely beatific; when Bruce smiled, his whole face smiled! THUNDERBOLTS FOREVER!
My condolences & respects to Bruce's family.
ERIN GO BRAGH !
FIGHT ON NORTHMONT HIGH !
R.I.P. #24...save me a re-match, ol' friend!!

Bruce gave us a positive new perspective on what it means to be challenged by something that is inevitably out of your own control. I hope that, if faced by similar circumstances, that we are able to be as strong, able and unselfish as Bruce. Our deepest condolences to Michelle and the rest of the family.
