News Death Notice

BRIDGES, Carl M. age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born in Huron, IN on September 10, 1932 to Fred and Edith Bridges. Carl was a traditional man with a sense of humor. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a dedicated worker, having worked for B&O railroad as a telegraph operator, and moved up the ladder of responsibilities until he became the Supervisor of Stations. Continuing on with his career he took a position as head of The Peerless Transportation Company. Carl is preceded in death by his father, Fred Bridges; mother and step-father Edith and David Shanks, and sister, Vivian Reid. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vivian (nee Asciutto) Bridges; children, Susan (Carl) Back, Cathy (Byron Brown) McCoy, Michael (Marcia) Bridges, and Christopher (Lori) Bridges; grandchildren, Jonathon and Jessica Back, Andrea Kunk, David Bridges, Levi McCoy, Hannah, Hailey and Hamilton Bridges; and 4 great-grandchildren.
