News Death Notice

CRIDER, Clifton Age 75 of Clayton, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton, on Saturday, March 26, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Harlan County, Kentucky and moved to Dayton in 1959. Clif retired from The John A. Becker Electric Company with more than 50 years of service. He loved being outdoors and was an avid boater and fisherman who enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie. Clif was also a wonderful gardener who looked forward to planting his large garden each year and sharing his harvest with family and friends. In his free time, he also enjoyed working in his workshop and making things for his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Donna (Schreck) Crider, daughter: Kim (Michael) Bloch, sons: Kevin (Deanna) Crider, Keith (Karla) Crider, grandchildren: Dustin (Tresa) Crider, Kacie Crider, Maddie Bloch, Mitchell Bloch, great granddaughter: Erin Crider, brother: Ronald Crider, sisters: Louise (Jerry) Cohen, Edna Napier, Lois (Tommy) Napier, Janice (Randy) Strange, Carol (Keith) Kniesly, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Shirley (Woodward) Crider, sisters: Audrey Schreck, Sylvia Combs, Jean Dixon and brother: Clayton Crider. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Interment will follow the service at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery in Covington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
